Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels

For several years now, we’ve been working with the Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels group to create content for its various comms channels including brochures, press releases, social media, landing pages and more…

Our latest collaboration includes a series of press kits highlighting the changes and slices of life in its hotels. From the rejuvenation of the Royal Palm to the new restaurants at Le Paradis, and an exploration of the group’s gardens and nurseries, these press kits highlight the assets and experiences that make Beachcomber so beautiful.

Thank you to the Beachcomber team for your continued trust!

Celimar

Celimar is the elegant and evocative name given to the upcoming beach-side apartments and penthouses in the Azuri village.

These new high-end residences are an open invitation to experience a touch of the “Dolce Vita”, embodying Azuri’s laid-back yet sophisticated atmosphere, which we captured in words in the project’s promotional brochure.

From a range of activities to suit every taste to its tight knit community, every page portrays the elements that create the unique sense of peace and wellbeing that permeates this tropical home away from home… it’s almost as if you were there.

Unique Concept

Ten years… that’s a lot of bespoke kitchens! To mark this milestone, Mauritius’ exclusive kitchen design company, Unique Concept, called on In Other Words to collaborate in the production of an anniversary book. The result: a book celebrating ten years of design creativity – through ten portraits of kitchens, of course!

The In Other Words team managed the production of this book from A to Z. Starting with the creative and editorial concept and ending in production, via organising photoshoots, and writing the texts (of course!)… this beautiful project grew from our imaginations, with the support of the Unique Concept team.

Once we’d seen these ten amazing kitchens with our own eyes (and taken lots of photos from all angles!), it was time to start editing. First the texts, then the creation of the layout: choices of colours and typography, deciding where each photo should go, setting out the flatplan…

This kind of project comes with a real bonus – the opportunity to work with great collaborators! It’s always a pleasure to work with Eric Lee and his beautiful photos, and with Ludovic Barbot, who was responsible for the artistic direction and editing of the book.

Bo Plan

Have we said already that we A-DO-RE magazines? Over the last few months we’ve been lucky enough to work with two great teams at Novaterra and the Twögether agency. Together, we’ve produced this year’s edition of the Beau Plan journal, now simply called Bo Plan! This presented an exciting opportunity to re-think the magazine, and to allow its design and content to evolve.

The result?

A journal conceived as a stroll through the region, passing through the different neighbourhoods of Beau Plan, from Bois Rouge to Pamplemousses. The perfect way to soak up the atmosphere of this city in the making and the areas that surround it!

Full of beautiful photos, vibrant and colourful (thanks, Louise!), it’s a real pleasure to leaf through Bo Plan’s pages.

You’ll want to read and re-read anecdotes about the region and fascinating interviews that draw on the island’s French and Creole heritages, courtesy of a great editorial team!

In short, Bo Plan is a must-read – discover it here.

The Strand

Having a long history of collaboration with Novaterra, we regularly support Beau Plan with its brand and commercial communications.

For the launch of Beau Plan’s first pre-built offices, we partnered with its teams, and OXO agency, to define the identity of this brand and its positioning on the market. The development’s proximity to the Mahogany Shopping Promenade, its views of the Beau Plan lake, and its refined architecture inspired us to create the Work In Beau Plan concept. This philosophy sums up the art of living, working, and enjoying free time in the heart of Beau Plan – a Smart City on a human scale.

The Strand offices, intended for companies of all sizes, have been designed to respond to the new work habits and desires of employees. The Strand aims to offer more services to companies, presenting their employees with ways to to juggle their professional and private lives more easily, and bringing a touch of creativity to daily life… These are the elements we wanted to highlight in the brochure and on the landing page of this commercial project.

Luxury Indian Ocean 12

The new edition of Luxury Indian Ocean magazine (edition 12) was released at the end of 2021.

We have been working with Mediatiz on this beautiful magazine for several years now. From editing to writing its stories, not to mention translating them, each edition of the magazine involves several months of work!

Little by little, Luxury Indian Ocean has seen its editorial approach evolve to present a new vision of luxury, more in line with the desires and expectations of its audience.

The question posed by this edition is simple, yet so complex:

Now what?

For the first time, we are tackling societal issues that invite our readers to look ahead…

👉🏽 Here or further afield, projects to inspire our region and boost its growth.

👉🏽 Local or regional initiatives that deserve to gain prominence.

👉🏽 Meeting the key players who work on behalf of our islands.

👉🏽 An overview of the projects, ideas and companies that will revolutionise our daily lives in tomorrow’s world.

From Gross National Happiness to entrepreneurship; from local produce to bitcoin; from bioclimatic architecture to the emergence of a generation full of talent; immerse yourself in an edition rich in encounters, beautiful experiences, and shared discoveries…

Bel Ombre

The initial brief:

To promote the assets of a region of unspoilt beauty in the south of Mauritius.

To participate in the development of a new territorial brand.

To collaborate with a super team from the OXO agency.

… That’s all it took to convince us to work on the Bel Ombre brand. Lamer. Later. Lavi.

OXO brought a global approach with them when they called on the services of In Other Words. We defined the editorial dimension of the brand using an identity document that was provided to the communication teams at Rogers Hospitality. The challenge was to convey the brand’s authenticity and commitment to sustainable engagement with the region and its communities, while promoting its commercial strengths to an international target audience.

We are happy to have supported the creation of a creative and committed brand that has great ambitions for future development.

Bel Ombre. Lamer. Later. Lavi.

The second stage of the project, the creation of texts for Bel Ombre’s website, was not an easy task… having written the content of its seven sections and forty or so pages, we can certainly say that Bel Ombre’s domain holds no more secrets for us!

Is developing the editorial identity of your brand one of your goals? This is a key task when it comes to getting the most effective message across to your audience. Write to us if you’d like to discuss your objectives over a cup of coffee!

Inside Capital

In early 2021, OXO and Inside Capital – a private equity firm that invests in Southeastern Africa’s sustainable development – contacted us for help with a new project: refreshing its brand identity, creating press and social media templates and writing the contents of a fresh new website! Just the kind of challenge that In Other Words loves to tackle.

Over several months, we worked with OXO and Inside Capital on a new brand identity, a press release, social media templates and the contents of a brand-new website. Have a look at the end result here

Set a course for Tamarin!

Cap Tamarin Smart City – part of the Trimetys group – called on In Other Words to create its quarterly gazette. We’re delighted to have worked on this exciting project!

From concept to design

First, we developed an editorial line that aligned with Trimetys’ objectives. We also advised on the magazine’s name, “Cap sur Tamarin”, its design and its structure.

Then, we managed the project from start to finish. This included creating a content plan, writing copy based on research and interviews, supervising the layout and proofreading the magazine before it went to print.

We’re very proud to present the first edition here!

Editorial project management: what we do best

In Other Words has produced magazines including Sundays, Luxury Indian Ocean and Kozé. From creating an editorial line to writing and layout, we manage the creation of each magazine until it goes to print.

Developing a magazine requires real expertise as well as strong writing abilities. From choosing the topics to creating a layout, framing the information appropriately and setting the right tone, it’s important to get everything right. In short, it’s best to call on an experienced team for support.

Luxury Estates Mauritius

Luxury Estates Mauritius is a real estate brand that brings together some of Mauritius’ most prestigious estates: Azuri Ocean & Golf Village, Anahita Mauritius, Mont Choisy Golf & Beach Estate…

Building on their reputation and a set of common values, these estates have accordingly joined forces to produce a property investment guide.

In Other Words was tasked with writing the white paper. It consists of three chapters: economic data about Mauritius, the island’s advantages as an investment destination, and information about the purchasing process.

Real estate, a crucial Mauritian industry

At first, we conducted a series of interviews with experts in the field. These included notaries, private banking departments and the Economic Development Board.

Real estate is indeed a crucial part of the Mauritian economy. By allowing foreign buyers to invest in the country, the government aims to attract much-needed FDI. In Other Words’ in-depth knowledge of the sector and its fiscal and regulatory framework was therefore a real asset on this project.

End to end project management

Having written the contents of this almost 100-page-long guide, we supervised its layout in partnership with the Mediatiz team.

Detailed project management is essential to this type of editorial job; it’s important to highlight the right information. In this case, we used infographics, images and written excerpts to achieve that goal. We also reworked the original content as we went along in order to do the information justice.
