Origin Eco Chalet

We love Rodrigues, eco-friendly businesses and telling a good story. So, when tasked with writing the website content of the Origin Eco-Lodge, our excitement soared!

To kick off the project, we sat down with co-founder Eloïse Harel and listened to her story. Because Origin is not just a hotel; it’s a personal journey and a dream come true for her and her husband Samuel.

On top of describing the lodge and its amenities, we wanted to showcase the owners’ environmental commitments and list the best activities in Rodrigues. We hope we succeeded in conveying the spirit of this very unique place!

The West

In parallel to the launch of The West territorial brand, we wrote the content for the website thewest.mu, as well as its news section for a few months. We also handled the entire translation aspect. This project required research, interviews, writing, production of SEO content, and project management.

We thoroughly enjoyed supporting the Medine group in the development of this brand aimed at bringing together stakeholders from the West and promoting the region and its inhabitants. It was also an opportunity for us to get to know the West coast better and find some hidden gems!

Le Caudan Waterfront

For several months now, we’ve been working hand in hand with the Caudan Waterfront and the Caudan Arts Centre, producing various types of content for them–press releases, Tenant Newsletters and translations, among other things.

Being passionate about culture, we are always delighted to interview local and international artists for the Caudan Arts Centre’s press releases. This also gives us the opportunity to closely follow the center’s events agenda! As for the Tenant Newsletter, sent every month to the Caudan Waterfront’s tenants, it puts to the test our journalistic skills with short and punchy updates.

Max Boullé

From October 2 to November 2, 2021, the Caudan Arts Centre hosted a groundbreaking exhibition dedicated to the Mauritian architect and painter Max Boullé (1899-1965).

As part of the preparation for this major retrospective, entitled ‘Max Boullé: between lines and light’, we had the honour of adapting and correcting the text of the official exhibition book, as well as writing content for the associated website and the newsletters sent out in advance of the event. We also provided strategic social media support.

The Strand

Having a long history of collaboration with Novaterra, we regularly support Beau Plan with its brand and commercial communications.

For the launch of Beau Plan’s first pre-built offices, we partnered with its teams, and OXO agency, to define the identity of this brand and its positioning on the market. The development’s proximity to the Mahogany Shopping Promenade, its views of the Beau Plan lake, and its refined architecture inspired us to create the Work In Beau Plan concept. This philosophy sums up the art of living, working, and enjoying free time in the heart of Beau Plan – a Smart City on a human scale.

The Strand offices, intended for companies of all sizes, have been designed to respond to the new work habits and desires of employees. The Strand aims to offer more services to companies, presenting their employees with ways to to juggle their professional and private lives more easily, and bringing a touch of creativity to daily life… These are the elements we wanted to highlight in the brochure and on the landing page of this commercial project.

Samudra Art Prize

Have you heard about the Samudra Art Prize? A new feature of the Mauritian cultural landscape, this beautiful initiative aims to celebrate art and creativity while raising public awareness of societal and environmental issues.

The first edition of the Prize is dedicated to coral ecosystems: their beauty and complexity, but also the challenges they face. The Samudra Art Prize invites artists of all levels and working with all media to present their interpretation of this rich theme. A call for artist submissions will be followed by an exhibition: digital art, drawing, painting, sculpture, sound, collage, photography, embroidery, video… creativity in all its forms!

Submissions will be evaluated by a jury. Prizes will be awarded, and a selection of the works will be presented at the Caudan Arts Centre from the 3rd to the 26th of June 2022. Our personal highlight: a special prize awarded by public vote!

We are proud to support this project by actively collaborating to draw public attention to this event in Mauritius. As well as supporting causes that are close to our hearts, such as the preservation of our environment, this initiative offers local talents a platform for artistic visibility, democratising art as a form of expression.

Artists? Don’t wait to register! You have until April 30th to submit your creation.

Art lovers and supporters? Come to the Caudan Arts Centre on June 3rd to admire these works of art and meet the artists!

Inside Capital

In early 2021, OXO and Inside Capital – a private equity firm that invests in Southeastern Africa’s sustainable development – contacted us for help with a new project: refreshing its brand identity, creating press and social media templates and writing the contents of a fresh new website! Just the kind of challenge that In Other Words loves to tackle.

Over several months, we worked with OXO and Inside Capital on a new brand identity, a press release, social media templates and the contents of a brand-new website. Have a look at the end result here

Moka.mu

When Moka Smart City asked us to create the contents of their new website, we jumped at the chance!

The project covered every aspect of the city: from its real estate offer (via Mauritius’ Smart City Scheme) to its environmental and sustainability commitments and its many activities aimed local residents (free yoga classes at Telfair, walking and hiking paths throughout the area…).

We already regularly write articles for the Moka blog and were delighted that the ENL team trusted us with this additional challenge.

We created the content before the website was designed, giving the project focus and direction and allowing us to structure and prioritise the site’s messages.

Our favourite section? “Living in Moka”! It helps you imagine everyday life in this multifaceted, intelligent city.
